This started out as a pentagram...hit the wrong keystroke, and this was the result. While not the original intent, just goes to show mistakes can be salvaged.

is it a donut? is it a balancing apparatus for strength training [after having eaten too many donuts?] is it a pillow? is it all of the above?...that's the beauty of abstract; it can be anything you perceive it to be.

when i was a child, i loved to fingerpaint. the feel of the paint squishing between my fingers, the texture of the paper, the vivid colors. the freeform of the medium was also appealing---i had never felt confident as a visual artist, except in that format. years later the 21st century has provided me with another medium: the computer, and the open source platform OpenOfficeOrg

while creating art on the computer is not as sensual [keyboarding not withstanding] an experience as fingerpainting, when a project progresses from just a thought to an actual image, it is very satisfying indeed.

after a few computer crashes and the panic of the possibility of my work being gone forever or re-creating pieces out of necessity rather than wanting to tweak them, it was Blogger to the rescue. hubby and i have other blogs via Blogger
